Michael J. Wesley

He was born March 16, 1948 in Buffalo, NY the son of the late Florian and Jane (Bak) Wesley.

On June 30, 1973 he married the former Suzanne Beers who survives.

Mr. Wesley was a Stationary Engineer for the City of Buffalo, an Inspector and investigator for CNA Insurance and owned and operated Wesley Excavation in Perrysburg,NY.

He was a Life Member of the NRA, Life Member of Safari Club International, Life Member of SCOPE, member of St. Joseph’s RC Church and Sons of the American Legion in Gowanda,NY.He was a very active outdoorsman and he and his wife have hunted all over the world including many trips over seas.He also was active in Conservation and also enjoyed arranging dinners and fund raisers for Veterans.

Besides his loving wife of nearly 50 years he is survived by a 2 sisters Judy Osterstruck of South Dayton, NY and Margaret Davis of Versailles, NY and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister Patricia Lillie-Nephew.

Friends may call at the Mentley Funeral Home Inc. 105 East Main Street in Gowanda,NY on Sunday April 30, 2023 from 1-4pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Monday May 1, 2023 at11am from St. Joseph’s RC Church in Gowanda,NY.

Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Gowanda Ambulance.
