Phyllis Parks

She was born on September 2, 1963 in Dunkirk, NY, the daughter of the late Julius and Betty Mele.

Phyllis is survived by her two daughters, Vanessa (Ned) Blaisdell of Oregon, Felicia (Josh) Braymiller of Brocton, NY; a son Davis (Paula) Steger of Brocton, NY; six cherished grandchildren, Adriana Battaglia, Lauralie Battaglia, Victoria Battaglia, Prudence Steger, Joshua Braymiller Jr., and Arthur Steger; a brother Bob (Lynda) Mele; sister Jeanette (Tom) Brendon; and sister-in-law Barb Mele. Phyllis was proceeded in death by her parents, two brothers Tony and Larry Mele; Infant siblings Betty Jo Mele and Joseph James Mele.

Phyllis enjoyed spending time camping with friends and family, and her companion dog Freddy. She enjoyed Cosmetology, often making family and friends look good with a nice haircut. Phyllis’s one true joy was spending quality time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Phyllis had a huge heart and a gentle soul who will be missed dearly. She was a proud breast cancer survivor. In lieu of flowers donation in Phyllis’s memory can be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute, 901 Washington St, Buffalo, NY 14203 or on their website Roswellpark.org.
