GOWANDA –Thomas C. Robinson age 71 was reunited with God April 20, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He loved his God, family, friends and work. Born in Gowanda and was a graduate of Gowanda Central School. After graduation Tom honorably served his country with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Tom spent most of his working career as a self employed carpenter. His hands touched many homes in our community, making great friends along the way.
Tom was born June 8, 1951 the son of Carl W. and Dorothy ( Witt) Robinson. Tom was a member of the Gowanda Free Methodist Church and the American Legion Post # 409 also in Gowanda, Tom took great pride in speaking at Memorial Day ceremonies. Throughout his life he never lost his sense of humor and will be missed by many.
Survivors include his beloved wife; Patricia (Grudzien) Robinson his loving daughter ; Christine (Mark Thrasher) Mentley of Hamburg and grand daughter Taylor (Anthony) Fox of Orchard Park a great grandson Thomas E. Fox. Tom is also survived by his in-laws Chester and Shirley Grudzien along with brother and sister in-laws ; Charles Grudzien of Gowanda, David (Cindy) Grudzien of South Carolina and Ronald (Sherry) Grudzien of Fla. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Besides his parents Tom was preceded in death by a brother Richard D. Robinson of Arkansas.
A Celebration of Tom’s life with full military honors will take place FRIDAY APRIL 28, 2023 at 11:00 am from the Gowanda Free Methodist Church 149 West Main St. ( please assemble at church ) Rev. Simon Knighten officiating.
Arrangements are by the SCHINDLER FUNERAL HOME 44 Center St. Gowanda.
