Odessey Sade Finley, 35, died accidentally, on May 26, 2023, in Tampa, FL. She was the beloved daughter of Wayne Finley, Sr. and Sherry Watts, who was born , in Dunkirk, NY, on August 9, 1987. She was their middle child born in between brothers, Wayne and Najee. She was step-sister to her father's children, Chris, Kellian, and Makai.
Odessey was a very beautiful and courageous woman who loved her family very strongly. Odessey was a mother to two boys, O'Fabian and the late Osias. She was more than a mother to Fabian. She was his best friend, his lifeline, and even to the people around her. She was a vibrant person who enjoyed dancing, singing and African Arts.
Odessey was also an aunt to her oldest brother's children: Iyana, Genesis, Yolanee, Gigi, Jupi, as well as, her younger brother's children: Nilyjah, Nazaiah, Nia' Lany, and Nylon. She loved all her nieces and nephews dearly and cried about never having enough time to spend with them. She was the family glue.
Anyone around her can tell you, she stood her ground as an individual. Odessey was also quick to help a person in need as long as they were genuine. She was also quick to defend those she loved. She had a big heart which she carried with the weight of a leader. Even when she felt alone, everyone she spoke to learn something valuable through her words and for that, she will never be forgotten.
Odessey was preceded in death by her brother, Henry.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Odessey's 2:00 PM Funeral Service on Saturday, June 10, 2023, with the Reverend Earl Waller officiating, and may call at the FANTAUZZI FUNERAL HOME, 82 East Main Street, Fredonia, NY between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM, prior to the Funeral Service.
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Dunkirk, NY.
Baby Osias
October 21, 2020-June 4, 2023
Baby Osias, aged 2, was born on October, 21, 2020, in Dunkirk, NY, to the late Odessey Finley and died accidently, in Tampa, FL, on June 4, 2023.
Baby Osias was a joyous baby and he came ready for the world. He threw tantrums like any other baby. But, he was special and he constantly showed that everytime he was in our home.
I was amazed at his toughness. I remember the time when Osias fell into the screen not wanting to miss Curious George. He would be full of good energy all night and during the day. He brought new life to everyone who was involved in his life. Osias showed the love he felt in his little heart for his caring Mom and everyone he met.

Odessey and Osias will be interred together in St. Mary's Cemetery in Dunkirk, NY.
