Marjorie E. Cronin Giddy (Margie)

She was born Sept. 5, 1926, in Corry, PA, the adopted daughter of Frank and Florence Cronin.

She was an Alumnus of Corry and Jamestown High Schools. She attended and was a member of the Jamestown Church of the Nazarene. She worked for FW Woolworth in the Harvest House restaurant a total of 27 years, retiring in 1992.

She enjoyed bowling, playing card games, and putting together puzzles.

She is survived by a son: Ronald H. Giddy (Kay) of Falconer; two daughters: Rhonda K. Rasmusson (Ralph ‘Razz’) of Jamestown and Rayanne Hotchkiss of Falconer; close friend and companion: Paul Snow; eight grandchildren: Tracy Giddy of Franklin, Indiana, Tanya Serafini (Joel) of Brockway, PA, Jason Giddy (Jackie) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Jill Vogt (Bruce) of Uvalde, Texas, Jenna (Derek) Baca of Rochester, Julie Sonne of Orlando, Florida, Brandon Hotchkiss of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Bliss Lillis (Brian) of Depew; 12 great-grandchildren: Hunter and Haley Greenawalt of Jamestown, Nikole Caracol of Illinois, Gracelyn Pickett of Franklin, Indiana, Jordan Faith of Pittsburgh, Emery Faith of Ridgeway, PA, Logan and Zayden Faith of Brockway, PA, Robert and Remy Giddy of Las Vegas, Nevada, Nathan and Megan Vogt of Uvalde, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband Horace H. Giddy, who died Jan. 10, 2001. They were married on Nov. 8, 1947 in Springboro, PA; a loving half-sister Eva S. Colburn; and her first grandchild Tina A. Greenawalt, who died April 5, 2018.

A private graveside service will be held. The Rev. Mark Hanson, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene will officiate. Burial will be in Levant Cemetery.

No visitation will be observed.
