Scott Allen Reynolds, 61, of Alexandria, Virginia, formerly of Conewango Valley, NY, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023 at his parent’s home in Conewango Valley of a Cardiac Arrest.
He was born February 16, 1962 in Jamestown, the son of Roger Allen and Noretta Mae (Hadley) Reynolds of Conewango Valley.
Scott was a 1980 graduate of Pine Valley Central School. He retired as Facilities Director of the Edmund Burke High School in Washington, DC. In earlier years, he had been self-employed, owning and operating, Frontier Satellite, also working with his brother Jeff on his Dairy Farm, Care Taker of the Valley View Cemetery in Ellington, and lastly landscaping and dairy farming in Haralson County, Georgia.
He was the former wrestling and softball coach at Pine Valley Central School and softball coach at the Edmund Burke HS in Virginia. He was also a former High School wrestling official. Scott enjoyed sports and watching the Buffalo Bills and Sabres, Washington Nationals and Atlanta Braves. He also loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his parents, Roger and Noretta Reynolds of Conewango Valley, his Companion, Mary E. Dent, a son, Kyle (Lynn) Reynolds of Painesville, OH, three daughters; Kristie N. (Michael) Parker of Cherry Creek, Karen Ann (Matthew Meyers) Reynolds of South Dayton and Katherine E. (Spenser) Smith of Fredonia, 11 grandchildren; Lillie, Finn, Ryker, Elijah, Teddy, Brooklyn, Cora, Lincoln, Henrick, Malia and McKenna.
Scott is additionally survived by five siblings, Tracy (Doug) Nobles of Waterloo, NY, Craig (Rhonda) Reynolds of East Bethany, NY, Jeffrey (Diane) Reynolds of Conewango Valley, Michael (Amy) Reynolds of Fredonia and Jason (Geri) Reynolds of Colorado Springs, Co.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00 – 7:00 PM, Thursday, July 6, 2023 from the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church Street, Randolph, N.Y. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday from the Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald Moore will officiate. Burial will be in the Cherry Creek Central Cemetery.
