Dennis A. “Denny” Bouquin

Dennis A. “Denny” Bouquin, 43, of Cassadaga, N.Y., died unexpectedly on Tuesday August 22, 2023. He was born in Dunkirk, N.Y. on October 20, 1979 to Ronald and Janis (Keith) Bouquin. Raised in Laona, Denny attended Fredonia schools and graduated from Fredonia High School.

After graduating from Fredonia High School he applied for a position as a lineman apprentice with the Village of Mayville. Denny was told by the individual who hired him that the fact that Denny was an Eagle Scout distinguished him from the other applicants and was one of the reason he was hired. He worked 21 years for the Jamestown Board of Public Utility. Denny was a member of the IBEW, Local 459. He was a Past-Commander of the Chautauqua County Sons of the American Legion, having served 2 years in the position. Currently, Denny was serving as District Vice-Commander of the Sons of the American Legion.

While busy with family, work, the Sons of the American Legion and other commitments, he found time to also do the other things he enjoyed including: camping, sxs’ing, snowmobiling and hanging with his friends “on the hill”. Denny was a member of many of the social clubs in the area. He was an avid bowler throughout his life. While in high school he was on the bowling team and was active in Junior Bowling. Later in life he bowled a 300 game. Denny was an animal lover, he was especially fond of cats.

Denny is survived by: his parents: Ronald G. and Janis L. (Keith) Bouquin; loving companion, Holly Swan and her children: Brett (Jordan), Lauren, Jack and Nick Swan; granddaughter, Grace; aunts and uncles: Doug and Donna Keith, Chris and Melisa Eichmann and Betsy Ersing; also survived by nine cousins and his 4 cats: Jackers, Mister, Baxter and Jasper.
