Edward F. Lynch Jr

Ed was born in Buffalo, NY on Feb. 25, 1960 the son of the late Edward F. and Geraldine (nee McCarthy) Lynch. He married the love of his life Mary Ann Sabowski on Nov. 22, 1985 in Buffalo, NY.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years Mary Ann Lynch; three loving children, Matthew L. Lynch of Silver Creek, NY, Mary Kate (Hayden) Denesha of Columbia, Md., and Edward J. “Jack” Lynch of Buffalo, NY; two dear sisters, Maryann I. (Blair) Johnson and Margaret VerHagen both of Royse City, TX; also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ed graduated from Bishop Turner High School, Class of 1978, where he was an accomplished skater and played on the hockey team. He continued his education at Bryant & Stratton College in Buffalo earning an associate degree in Commercial Art. Ed worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Amherst, NY retiring in 2022 with 35 years of service.

He was a diehard Buffalo Sabres and Bills fan, enjoyed listening to Classic Rock and was known for his fun loving personality, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave. Silver Creek, NY on Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023 from 4-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Aug. 25, 2023 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel RC Church, 165 Central Ave. Silver Creek, NY at 1 PM. Please assemble at the church.

Interment will follow in the Mount Carmel Cemetery.

In lieu of flower memorial contributions in Ed’s memory may be made to the Silver Creek Emergency Squad or Our Lady of Mount Carmel RC. Church.
