Patrick McGinty-Long time Downtown Buffalo publican and quintessential Irishman, formerly of Forestville, NY left this earth, probably via Ireland on Sunday, August 20 in his home, surrounded by family after a brief illness.
He is survived by his wife, Doree, children Timothy (Kathy) McGinty Tracy McGinty, Tari (Michael) Sarratori, Thomas McGinty, Tammy (Troy) Schanck, TJ McGinty, Meaghan (William) Nascimento, Larry McGinty; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters Franceslee (late John) LaMonte, and Roberta McGinty.
Pat is predeceased by his parents, Francis and Elizabeth (Garwood) McGinty, and a grandson, Daniel Dix. In true Pat McGinty fashion, his last wish was to not be sad and shed tears for him, but to gather, tell stories, sing songs and have a true Irish wake. The family will have a celebration at a later date.
