Paul D. “ Paulie” Weigle

Born in Elmira June 8, 1957 the son of Paul S. and Audrey( Morgan) Weigle .

Paul graduated from the Elmira Free Academy in 1975 before getting his applied Science Degree in Criminal Justice at the Corning Community College. He was a Police Officer for a short time for the Elmira Police Dept. Paul attended Alfred State College studying plant and agricultural sciences . He graduated from the Academy of Corrections in Albany and devoted 26 years to the NYS DEPT OF CORRECTIONS before retiring in 2010. Paul worked at various facilities throughout NYS but spent most of his working career at Collins Correctional. Paul enjoyed entertaining, cooking, working on house projects, gardening and landscaping . He also enjoyed restoring old cars , the lake and spending time with family and friends .

Survivors include his sister; Donna (Larry) Arnold of Horseheads, NY . A niece Melanee (Kevin) Aiken of Pine City, NY and a nephew ; Scott (Mechelle) Arnold of St. Mary’s Ga. Great nieces and nephews Mercedez, Jessica, Tristan, Hailey, Quinlan, Jeremiah and Christopher also survive .

Friends may call Monday August 21, 2023 from 2:00-5:00pm at the SCHINDLER FUNERAL HOME 44 Center St. Gowanda where a prayer will commence at 5:00pm . Please bring a memory to share at 5.

If desired, memorials may be made to a local charity of ones choice .
