William “Billy” Ross Horch

William was born February 11, 1948 in Elmira, NY. He is survived by his two siblings: Rosie Horch and Barbara Pascucci. He is predeceased by his parents, Wilbert William Horch, Eleanor Nancy Ross Horch and his two siblings: Richard and Lynda Horch.

William earned his teaching degree at SUNY Fredonia and his masters in social work at Case Western University. William spent most of his professional life teaching all grade levels, including Jamestown Community College. He also spent many years working as a Substance Use Counselor for adolescents at Lutheran Social Services. William had such a strong passion working with youth. He was well known for his passion with sports which included wrestling, baseball, soccer, local softball and racquetball leagues, football and basketball. He was a coach for several years at Pine Valley, Brocton and Texas.

William married Sheila Gloss Horch on October 6, 1990 in Fredonia, NY. They were blessed with three beautiful children: Jamie Horch, Joshua Horch and Jamison Horch. William is also survived by his son, Billy Ross Adams and he resides in Texas with his wife Stacy and their children.

Besides being a huge fan of the NY Yankees and Dallas Cowboys, William’s life revolved around his wife of 33 years, and his children. Although separated from his wife since 2013, he was still actively involved and they maintained a very close relationship. He was always so proud of his children, and made sure everyone knew that. William will always be remembered for his unconditional and selfless love.

Visitation will be held at the LARSON-TIMKO Funeral Home, 20 Central Avenue, Fredonia on Tuesday from 7-9 pm. Funeral services will be held at Gospel Church, 45 Lakeview Avenue
