Bruce W. Rogers

Bruce was born May 16, 1956 in Erie, Pa the son of Alfred and Alma (Fyock) Rogers.

Bruce graduated from Gowanda Central High School, Class of 1976. He worked at the former Tri-County Hospital in Gowanda , he worked in food service and in housekeeping through the years at the hospital.

Bruce grew up in Dayton and was a volunteer for the Dayton Volunteer Fire Dept. he attended the Countryside Baptist Church in Perrysburg and was active with church functions and a part of the church family , he enjoyed home group meetings including Clean, Sober and Saved. Bruce was a member of the Fiddlers Association and served as the group’s Chaplain .

Survivors include a sister; Bonneta ” Bonnie” (Charlie) Nobles of Forestville and a brother Alfred (Paula) Rogers of Wisconsin. Bruce is also survived by his sister in-law Ruth (Mardino) Rogers; Jerry’s wife along with nieces nephews great and great great.

Besides his parents Bruce was preceded in death by his brothers Norman and Gerald “Jerry” Rogers.

Friends may call at the SCHINDLER FUNERAL HOME 44 Center St. Gowanda from 11 am — 1 pm Saturday Sept. 23, 2023. Pastor Ben Schutt of Countryside Baptist Church will conduct Bruce’s funeral service which will commence at 1 pm at the close of visitation at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Jolls Cemetery Perrysburg, NY where Bruce will be laid to rest next to his parents and brother Norm .
