Arthur J. Bouquin

He was born on June 4, 1971 in Dunkirk, NY, the son of Margaret (Apps) Bouquin, of Fredonia and Timothy (Deborah) Bouquin, of Perrysburg. He attended Fredonia High School and the Boces Culinary Arts program, graduating in 1989.

Art was a talented chef, spending the past 30+ years cooking in local restaurants. He was currently employed at Dejohns Italian Spaghetti House. He enjoyed watching MMA, boxing, football and hockey. He was a lifetime Buffalo Sabres fan. Art took great pleasure in attending concerts, gardening and feeding his friends and family.

In addition to his mother, father and stepmother, Art is survived by his wife of 31 years, Michele (nee Scholl), his son Zachary (Alyssa) Bouquin, of Dunkirk, a cherished granddaughter, Cynthia Bouquin, half-brothers John (Jessica) Bouquin, of Perrysburg and Jacob (Ona) Bouquin, of Gowanda. Extended family members, friends and his beloved Husky dog, Ghost, also survive.

Arthur chose to donate his body to the University of Buffalo – Jacobs School of Medicine. Per his wishes, the family will host a Celebration of Art’s Life in the near future. Details will be announced.
