Marjorie A. Gonzalez

GOWANDA –Marjorie A. Gonzalez age 82 of Rte. 438 on the Cattaraugus Territory passed away at home Saturday October 7, 2023.

Born in Gowanda into the Turtle Clan July 16, 1941 the daughter of Arthur and Maxine (Clark) Maybee.

Marjorie worked at the former Tri-County Memorial Hospital Gowanda in food service prior to the hospital closing in 2009.

Survivors include 4 daughters; Linda Musante of Silver Creek, Monica (Michael) Fellenz of Irving, Cristina ( Feisal) Fontanez of San Francisco, Ca., and Elaine Fontanez of Buffalo. 2 sons ; Milton (Michelle) Maybee of Hyde Park, NY and Michael ( Lori) Gonzalez of Gowanda . Grandchildren; Melvin, Marie, Melissa, Paige, Sofia, David, Taylor, Charlie, Simon, Whitney, Jalisa, and Brianna along with 14 great grandchildren. Marjorie’s siblings ; James Maybee of Virginia Beach, Va., John ( Beth) Maybee of Gowanda, Romayne (David) Watt of Seattle, Wa. ,and Rebecca (Larry) Schosek of Gowanda.

Besides her parents Marjorie was preceded in death by a son Charles Gonzalez, a brother ;Armond Maybee and a sister Joanne Williams .

A graveside service will be held Friday October 13, 2023 11:00 am at the Seneca Nation of Indians Community Cemetery Rte. 438. A funeral luncheon to follow at the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation Fire Hall immediately following service.
