Pamela Jean Pyle

Pamela Jean Pyle, April 23, 1962 – Aug. 16, 2022

She is survived by her beloved husband of 29 years James S. Brown. She is also survived by Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Great Nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents Roger E. Pyle and Jean M. Pyle.

Pamela graduated Gowanda Central School as Valedictorian and a member of the Gowanda High School Honor Society. She won the American Essay contest in 1974 and 1977. In 1979, she was ranked in the upper 5percent of students who took PSAT/ NMSQT tests and was presented with the Rensselaer Medal for outstanding achievement. In 1980, she was published in “Who’s who Among American High School Students”. She went on to undergraduate school at Alfred University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS in accounting. She was a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Delta Mu Delta, Alpha Iota Delta, Alpha Lambda Delta (honor societies) and Phi Alpha Delta (Legal Fraternity). She then proceeded to UB Law School to get her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree where she met her husband.

Pamela started her law career with Marine Midland Bank in Buffalo, NY. The bank changed to HSBC and after more than 30 years, she retired and moved to Georgia to be closer to her father. Everyone she worked with became part of her family. In 1988, being officially an attorney and counsellor at law for all courts in New York State, she received the David and Edith Goldstein award for outstanding performance in Bankruptcy law distinguished achievement award in the field of debtor-creditor relations.

Pamela was a member of the Jekyll Island United Methodist Church.

Prior to moving to Georgia, Pamela was a member of the Gowanda First Presbyterian Church. She was a member on the board and Financial Officer.

Pamela was obsessed with anything and everything Snoopy. This is what kept her calm and rooted in everything that is good. She was always ready to help friends and family.

A service was held at MENTLEY FUNERAL HOME INC., Gowanda NY followed by internment in Pine Hill Cemetery, Gowanda NY.
