Phyllis A. (Warner-Newby) Newman

Born in Ripley, N.Y., November 3, 1935 to the late Albert and Pearl (Lewis) Warner. She was predeceased by two sisters and seven brothers.

Phyllis worked in the service field for many years. She spent her retirement years traveling, visiting family and friends. Phyllis was an avid bingo player (it has been said that she was able to drive blindfolded to attend a game).

She also loved crafting. She especially enjoyed quilting, knitting and crocheting items for family and friends.

Phyllis is survived by: her brother, Clifford Warner of Georgia; her children: Eddie and Mary(Martindale) Causebrook, Cheryl (Newby) Houser, Eugene Newby, David McMaster, Bryan and Karol (Peterson) Newby, Kevin Newby; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 2 great- great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Saturday November 4, 2023 from 2-4 pm at the Spitzer Funeral Home, 135 Miller St., Sherman, N.Y., where a funeral service will follow at 4 pm.
