Rose Marie Spann

She was born on October 11, 1940 in Dunkirk, NY the daughter of the late Charles Sr. and Carmella (nee Conti) Allesi.

Rose graduated from Fredonia high School in1958 where she was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, which she was very active in and maintained friendships her entire life.

She went to beauty school in Fredonia and owned and operated the Grecian Gardens Beauty Salon in Fredonia for many years. She also was a real estate agent for Holt Realtor. But most of all she was a homemaker, who loved to cook and entertain.

Her memberships included the Westfield Garden Club and Gourmet Club.

Rose is survived by three daughters, Sharon (Mike) Sweet of Westfield, Carla Hilton of Mesa, AZ and Gina (Christopher) Doyle of Denver, NC; two sons, Kent (Nancy) Hilton of Hamburg, NY and David (Barbara) Spann of Westfield, NY; twelve grandchildren, Anthony, Morgan, Josephine, Amelia , Shawn, Chad, Nicole, Kelsey, Katelyn, Brett, Matthew and Ryan; four great-grandchildren, Aaron, Mason, Matthew and Cayson; a brother ,Sam (Janet) Allesi of Fredonia, NY; a sister-in-law, Donna Allesi of Fredonia, NY.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Anthony J. Spann and a brother, Charles Allesi Jr.

Relatives and friends may call at the Mason Funeral Home, 37 Clinton St. Westfield, NY on Thursday, November 9th, 2023 from 11 AM – 1:30 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 9th, 2023 at St. Dominic RC Church 15 Union St. Westfield, NY at 2PM with her cousin Fr. Frank Sevola officiating. Burial will be private in St. James Cemetery.
