Janice Elaine Topliffe Spencer

Mrs. Spencer was born Janice Elaine Topliffe Spencer in Dunkirk, New York to the late John “Jack” and Sarah Graybill Topliffe. Also, preceding her in death was her husband of 54 years, Jerome “Jerry” Spencer; daughter, Melinda “Mindy” Spencer Decker, and a brother, John Spencer Topliffe.

Mrs. Spencer is survived by: her son and daughter-in-law, Michael (Jennifer) Spencer of North Wilkesboro, NC; five grandchildren: Andrea Decker of Dunkirk, Taylor Decker (Alex Keech) of Fredonia, Philip Decker of Irving, Stephen and Jacob Spencer of North Wilkesboro, NC; four great-grandchildren: Zoey, Kayden, Dominic, and Sierra Keech, all of Fredonia. A brother-in-law and a sister-in-law, David and Anne Spencer of Fredonia, and special friends who have been like family for many years, Darrin and Nitida Paschke.

Janice graduated from Fredonia High School in 1966. She spent her entire life in Fredonia, New York. Several years of her life was spent as an officer with the W.O.T.M. Chapter 294 at the Dunkirk Moose Lodge.

Family will receive friends at LARSON-TIMKO Funeral Home, 20 Central Ave., Fredonia, on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 from 6 – 8 pm, with a private burial Thursday morning at Forest Hill Cemetery.
