Joseph H. Hornberger, 94, peacefully passed away on Dec. 5, 2023. Devoted husband of 72 years to his beloved Ethel L. (nee Wilkins) Hornberger; cherished father of Susan (Fred) Wiencek, Sandra (Bill) Schreiner, Kathleen Hornberger, Janet (Jimmy) Lucchetti, Joseph F. Hornberger, and Karen (Paul Galmbacher) Wiltsie; loving grandpa to 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; dear brother of Mildred Metzger, and the late Lawrence Hornberger; also survived by nieces and nephews. Avid gardener, John Deere enthusiast, and loved his family unconditionally. Friends may visit Saturday, Dec. 9 from 1-3 PM at Lakeside Memorial Funeral Home Inc. 4199 Lake Shore Road, Hamburg, NY 14075, where a service will follow at 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joseph’s name may be made to the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation.
