Kevin M. Grupa

Born in Dunkirk June 20, 1955, son of the late Michael D. and Joan B. (Gaszynski) Grupa.

A graduate of Dunkirk High School class of 1973 and furthered his education at SUNY Fredonia class of ’77 with a Bachelor of Science, Magna Cum Laude, and continued on to receive] a Master of Science class of ’80 from Columbia University School of Engineering an Applied Science.

Kevin then joined the US Air Force and attained a rank of Captain, also having served during the Gulf war as a strategist. He received AF Commendation Medal w/1 Oak Leaf, AF Outstanding Unit Award, National Defense Service Medal, AF Longevity Service Award w/1 Oak Leaf, AF Organizational Excellence Award and AF Training Ribbon.

An avid fan of the Buffalo Bills, Kevin also enjoyed playing golf, chess, bridge, is a 12 time sanctioned 300 game bowler, and also liked to read and listen to rock music.

Surviving are a brother Mark (Mary Field) Grupa of Dunkirk, sister Julie (James) Symack of Cheektowaga, nephew Matthew (Milica) Grupa of IN, a niece Danielle (Brian Hayes) Dean of Westfield, Uncle Ralph (Linda) Gaszynski of Fredonia, also several cousins survive.

Preceded in addition to his parents is a sister Michelle Dean.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced.
