Ruby S. Lampert

Born in Dunkirk, February 18, 1933, to late Stephen and Elizabeth (Kolasa) Szalkowski.

Ruby retired from Tops Supermarkets after thirty years of service and had previously worked at Van Raalte in Dunkirk.

She enjoyed gala days at the Dunkirk Senior center and playing cards with her family.

Ruby was a member of Blessed Mary Angela Parish – St. Hedwig’s R.C. Church in Dunkirk, NY.

Surviving are. her sons Robert (Wende) of Columbia, TN, John (Lisa) of Dunkirk, NY, and Richard of Ripley, NY; grandchildren Lindsay Lampert of Tonawanda, Erika Lampert of Buffalo, and Tyler Lampert of Lima, OH, Brent (Tricia) Henderson, of Lancaster, NY, Branden (Caroline) Henderson, of Mountain Brook, AL, greatgrand children Cooper Henderson, Charlotte Henderson of Lancaster, NY, and Caldwell Henderson Carter Henderson of Mountain Brook, AL.

Preceded by her husband of sixty-two years, Leonard Lampert, whom she married August 25, 1951 at St. Hedwig’s Church and died December 22, 2013, brothers Normanand Daniel Szalkowski.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 EastDoughty Street, Tuesday from 4 to7p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock in Blessed Mary Angela Parish Church of Hedwig. Interment will be at the Resurrection Mausoleum in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
