Gowanda – Demetria Pomales, 97, of Gowanda, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023 at her home. She was born on November 23, 1926 in Juncos, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Ezequiel (Julia) Pomales. She was married to the late Dolores Maisonet. She was a faithful servant of over 60 years of the La Salon Del Reino de Testigo de Jehova in Dunkirk. The family would like to thank all the caretakers, visitors, and Kingdom Hall congregant members who aided Miss Pomales through the years.
Miss Pomales is survived by three daughters; Carmen Maisonet of Philadelphia, PA, Gladys (Chaz) Pfalzgraf of Gowanda, and Luz Maisonent of Philadelphia, PA, as well as one brother, three sisters, eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husbands and parents, she is predeceased by a son, Miguel Maisonet, several brothers, and several sisters.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Feed More of WNY and its Meals on Wheels.
The family would like to reference Juan 5: 28, 29 and Revelation 21: 3, 4. We will see you soon in paradise.
