Donald S. Johnson, 46, of Salamanca, passed away Thursday, Dec. 28, 2023, at his home. He was born on Feb. 20, 1977, in Gowanda, son of Linda (Greg Peters) Wait of Little Valley and Donald (Pat Wiseman) Johnson of Collins who survive. Don was engaged to Amber Persons, of Salamanca, who survives.
For many years, he managed the First Nations Convenience Store in Salamanca and had also dealt Texas Hold ‘Em Poker at the Seneca Allegany Casino. Don enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and was a member of the Killbuck Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed collecting knick knacks, gold, whatever coins he could find and unique dollar bills. He loved going golfing at many area courses, especially Cardinal Hills in Randolph, and was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills; he and Amber would attend every Bills’ home game they could.
Besides his parents and loving fiancee, Donald is survived by his cousins; Lindsey, Kit, Jason, Nathan, Brandon, Ryan, and Austin, as well as his special cat, Brisko, and his wide circle of loving friends.
Friends may call on Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 5-8 pm at Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 411 Rock City St. in Little Valley.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 at 11 am from the funeral home.
Burial will be in Collins Center Cemetery.
