Herbert James (Jim) Everhart

He was predeceased by parents Russell “Tut” Everhart and Agnes “Rosie” Everhart, sister Virginia Kittinger and son Nathan Edgar Everhart (Sandie).

He is survived by sisters Elaine Kapuscinski, Betty Louise Glass and Joan Carol Stone. He is also survived by sons Eric R. Everhart (Rhonda), Todd J. Everhart and Darren P. Everhart (Jennifer). In addition, he had 10 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.

Jim was a veteran of the Korean War, serving as an EOD expert from 1952-1953. He remained active in the American Legion for many years, and frequently participated in their Memorial Day activities. He was a gifted trumpet player/musician in his younger years performing as far away as New Orleans. Jim loved collecting old cars, and would spend countless hours restoring them. He was a carpenter by trade, but also performed many other jobs throughout his life. The loves of his life were his four sons. While they were growing up he never missed a single athletic event, music concert, or ceremony they were involved in. That devotion to family continued when his grandchildren came along, as he could frequently be found in attendance at their events as well.

A private memorial will be held at a later date. No public services will be held.
