John Ellis Blynt, 52 of Westfield, N.Y., is survived by his mother Joan M (Carlson) Brown, Stepfather Michael C Brown, his wife Brenda Ekstrom Blynt, who was the Love of his Life. They married on July 25, 2015, in Shelby NC. where they made their home. He is also survived by his sons Andrew (Jennifer) Blynt, John Blynt .Jr. Also survived by brothers Christopher J Hannold (his children Melissa and Brooke Hannold), Thomas (Brenda and family) and Michael Brown(and family), Ronald and Keven Blynt (and families) and Theodore Hannold (and family) His sisters Shannon M Ledin (her children Riley (Jenny), Joshua (Skyla and Son Beckham) and Kadin Benzel), Sherri Lynn Blynt(and family), Heather Brown(and family) and Valdessa Hannold (and family) He also has many cousins including Sean Carlson, Richard, Ward and Kevin Hannold, Dawn Wick, Michael, Timothy and David Landon and so many more, and many any nieces and nephews.
He had several aunts including Marjorie Carlson and Paulette Landon. He has three grandchildren – Madison and Asher Blynt and one other he never got to meet.
John was preceded in death by his father Ronald E Blynt, stepfather Theodore J Hannold, his maternal grandparents John and Helen (Karash) Carlson, his Paternal grandparents Donald and Paula Blynt, and stepson Andre Dennis, brother-in-law Brett Ledin.
John worked most of his life as a roofer, which he really enjoyed in New York and North Carolina. He also worked in the lumber yard for a few years in Shelby where he made many friends.
He grew up in Westfield NY, where he went to school and loved to play sports. He was in the Golden hawk’s football league and played for the Westfield Wolverines. He also played Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball. He played basketball for VFW when he was small. He loved to play football in the snow with his brothers and stepfather Michael when he was in high school. He loved fishing, hunting and NASCAR racing and of course Dallas Cowboys Football.
John will be missed by so many families and friends. He had a very infectious smile and laugh that everyone remembers about him.
The family will have a celebration of life in the future, no date at this time.
