WESTFIELD- Suzanne Casler Rammelt, 81, of Westfield, passed away following a lengthy illness on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dunkirk, NY.

She was born February 17, 1942, in Mayville, NY, the daughter of the late Julian and Lyle Parkhurst Casler.

Suzanne was a 1959 graduate of Mayville Central School. She had been a bookkeeper and general helper for Rammelt & Sons as well as a homemaker, raising her three children.

She was a member of St Peters Episcopal Church in Westfield, NY. She enjoyed bowling, collecting Teddy Bears and Giraffes, shopping, going to car shows with her husband, going on snowmobile and motorcycle trips with friends, and working on the farm picking and tying grapes. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Suzanne is survived by her three children, a son, Joel E. Rammelt of Westfield, two daughters: Jill R. (Kenneth H. Jr.) Clute of Mayville, NY, and Jacqueline E. (Anthony) Franchina of Westfield, NY, eight grandchildren: Elisha (Sean) Eisnor, Garrett (Jenna) Rammelt, Travis (Brookelyn) Rammelt, Brittany (Eric) Fish, Ian (Summer Borysoff) Clute, Emily (Andrew) Gilkinson, and Elizabeth (Ryan Sullivan) Franchina, six great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Preston, Reagan, Evelyn, Romeo, and Charlotte (and one more on the way), a sister, Marilyn Bazan of California, one sister in law, Nancy Johnston of Seneca Falls, NY, and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Chautauqua Nursing and Rehab for their love and care of Suzanne.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Joel Rammelt, whom she married on August 26, 1961, two sisters: Jacqueline E. Brittain and Linda Davidson, and one brother-in-law, Ronald Davidson.

A private funeral will be held by the family. Inurnment will be in the St Peter’s Episcopal Church in Westfield, NY.
