Carolyn G. Szymanski
Carolyn G. Szymanski, 92, of South Dayton, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024 at the Gowanda Nursing Home. She was born on April 1, 1931 in Gowanda, daughter of the late Burt and Emma (Higbee) Mosher.
On Sept. 15, 1951 she married Chester Szymanski, who predeceased her on Jan. 22, 1996. Mrs. Szymanski worked at the Gowanda Psychiatric Center as a beautician for 25 years until her retirement.
She is survived by a son, Stephen (Debbie) Szymanski, of South Dayton, and two daughters, Candyce (Doug) Weaver of Cherry Creek, and Cathryn Szymanski of South Dayton. Also surviving are two grandchildren; Derek Szymanski and Kelly O’Hara, and a great-grandchild, Colton Clark, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Carolyn is predeceased by a brother, Gerald Mosher, and a sister, Lucille Shattuck.
Private family services will be held.
