Dave Van Keuren

Dave Van Keuren

Dave Van Keuren transcended heart failure on Feb. 16, 2024, with his beloved wife Linda present to see him off. He said he was looking forward to finding out what his future holds next. Two things are certain: The love he leaves behind will continue to spread throughout the multiverse, and there is no illness or infirmity where he is now.

Aside from Linda, who he always said was worth every mile he hitchhiked to visit her when they were dating, he is survived by daughters Kelly (Daniel) and Holly (Sonia). He said we turned out all right in the end. He is also survived by grandchildren Kaiden, Alex, Mari, and Jayce, his sister Nancy, brother Dan, and myriad nieces and nephews.

Dave served in the U.S. Navy, where he learned to order beer in many languages. He worked for Coors in Colorado for his entire career, having settled on a beer of choice. He was always available if a friend, neighbor, or complete stranger needed something he could offer. He made a lot of friends that way.

Dave, we hope what’s next has motorcycles and mountains and you never have to wear a helmet. We hope the weather is perfect and the friends who have gone before you are waiting for you with smothered burritos and Coors. You will be sorely missed.

Dave’s last ride began at Collier Hospice in Colorado, and his family are eternally grateful for their care.

Donations in lieu of flowers would be greatly appreciated. No service will be held per Dave’s request.

He’d want you to go outside somewhere and do something you enjoy instead. He will be interred at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
