Our dear mother, Mercedes Rosas, sadly passed away on Monday, Feb. 19, 2024 at the age of 84 at her daughter Olga Capellan’s home in New Jersey. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when family needed her.
Mercedes also had many friends and was a well loved member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Dunkirk, NY where she lived. She is predeceased by her husband, Manual Rosas; her daughter, Kathleen Rivera and her son, Angel Rosas, and nine siblings. Mercedes is survived by: her daughter, Olga (Radhames) Capellan and her son, Julio Rosas. Also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as two brothers and four sisters.
Visitation will be Friday from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm at the LARSON-TIMKO Funeral Home, 20 Central Ave., Fredonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 336 Washington Avenue Dunkirk, Friday at 2 pm. On-line condolences may be made at larsontimkofuneralhome.com.
