Nancy Yvette Arroyo Rosado
Nancy Yvette Arroyo Rosado, 59, of Dunkirk, NY passed away at Buffalo General Hospital, surrounded by loved ones, following a lengthy sickness on February 8, 2024.
A memorial service will be held at Iglesia Getsemani, 115 Central Avenue in Dunkirk, NY on Thursday, February 15, beginning at 1 p.m. followed by a celebration of life from 3-6 p.m.
Nancy was born in New Jersey on October 14,1964 to Juanita Rivera Nunez and Robinson Arroyo. Nancy was a devoted mother to her three sons, David, Raul and Isaiah, and a step-mother to Raul “EJ” Rosado. She was a devoted wife to her loving husband, Raul Rosado, who cared for and stood by her side through sickness and health, as stated in their vows. Survived by Nancy are her sisters Lucz Arroyo(Carlos), Lilian Cordero(Felipe), Marian Vega, and her beloved niece, Hope Vega, all from New Haven,CT and predeceased by her sister Daisy Gonzalez and her mother, Juanita NuÃ’ez. Nancy was a loving grandmother to 12 grandchildren: David, Talia, Marlena, Giovanni (Avila), Jahnessa, Jadahlee, Jovanni, Idalis, Josiel, Niome, Jaxon, and Amir (Rosado), and one great-grandchild, David “Ronnie” Avila. Nancy was an aunt to several nieces and nephews.
Nancy attended schools in Puerto Rico, New Jersey, and New Haven. She completed higher education in Ft. Myers, FL. She spent several years working for Chautauqua Opportunities, assisting anyone in her path. Nancy loved to help others, especially in the form of cooking. She made sure no one went without and cared for others. Nancy loved shopping and buying gifts for loved ones, especially for her grandchildren. Nancy will truly be missed by many, but, the love she shared for her grandchildren will forever live in their hearts.
