Suzanne C. (Gernatt) Niefergold

She was born November 22, 1941 in Gowanda, NY to the late Paul and Rita Gernatt. Suzanne is survived by her husband of 62 years Martin L. Niefergold, her children Bonnie (William) Timmons, Martin R. Niefergold, Daniel (Jill) Niefergold, and David (Emily) Niefergold; grandchildren Emily (Frederick) Peterson, David (Shelbey) Timmons, Holly, Jack, William, Kelly, Ashley, Danica, Allison and Matthew Niefergold; great grandchildren Maeve and Eloise Timmons, and Theodore and Jonathan Peterson. Suzanne is survived by siblings, Martha “Joyce” Kehr, Olive Stang, Rose Marie Butzer, Mary Richmond, Arthur Gernatt, Annette Noto, Bernadette Folts, Joseph Gernatt, and Diane Woloszyn; also, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Suzanne is predeceased by her parents, her infant daughter Maryann Louise, and siblings Rita Gabel, Theresa Butzer, Paul Gernatt, and Joan Schuster.

Suzanne was a graduate of Immaculata Academy, Class of 1959.

A big part of Suzanne’s life was spent at home as a homemaker where she enjoyed preparing and serving special meals for her family and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Buffalo, and many family and friends for all the cards, prayers, compassion and loving gestures shown to Suzanne.

There will be no prior visitation. A memorial mass celebrating Suzanne’s life will be held Saturday Feb. 24, 2024 at 11 AM from Epiphany of Our Lord Catholic Church, 10893 Sisson Hwy., North Collins, NY. Please assemble at Church

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Buffalo or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
