Allen D. Hayes

He was born on August 8, 1949, the son of the late Angeline D. (Dodzyn) and William M. Hayes. Following graduation, Allan served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era.

Al worked for the Red Wing Corporation and The Carriage House as a Quality Assurance Technician. He also graduated from Bryant and Stratton College and earned a two year degree in accounting to further his education

On June 5, 1982, Allan married his loving wife, Linda K. (Harper) Hayes.

Allan was a Past Commander of the American Legion Post 62 in Dunkirk, NY and a member of the Gage Chapel Community Church in Smith Mills. NY.

For enjoyment, Allan watched college sports, football, and the Stock Market.

Allan is survived by his wife, Linda K. (Harper) Hayes, sister-in-law, Barbara J. (Mark) Czekanski, brother-in-law, Robert J. Harper, and nephews, Lucas M. (Jamie) Czekanski and Joshua R. (Megan) Czekanski. He is further survived by his great nieces and nephews, Tyler, Connor, Natalia, Katie, Aiden, Abbie, and Isabella Czekanski.

Besides his parents, Allan was preceded in death by his two brothers, William and Jimmy Hayes and sister, Betty Lou Hayes.

Allan’s 1:00PM Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at the FANTAUZZI FUNERAL HOOME, 82 East Main Street, Fredonia, NY, with Pastor Mike Pollock officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service and may call at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 from 4:00-7:00 PM. Allan will be interred in the Willow Brook Cemetery in Dunkirk, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations, in Allan’s memory, may be made to Meals on Wheels, the Lake Shore Humane Society or the American Altzeimer’s Society would gratefully be appreciated.
