June M. Carpenter

CASSADAGA: June M. Carpenter, 78, of Ball Road, Cassadaga, passed away March 9, 2024 at her residence, following a short illness, surrounded by her family. She was born in Gowanda on June 15, 1945, the daughter of the late George and Josephine (Rice) Snyder.

June was a graduate of Pine Valley Central School and at one time worked for the former Red Wing, Inc. of Fredonia and the former Gobbler’s Knob restaurant in Sheridan.

She was a proud American who loved Dolly Parton and vacations to Pigeon Forge. June preferred going out to eat instead of cooking, mowing & taking care of her lawn, the smell of fresh cut wood, building porches, sheds and other wood projects. She also continuously showed her family how much she loved them.

Survivors include a daughter, Candace M. Glowniak, of Cassadaga; two sons Michael A. (LaVonne) Carpenter, of Brocton; John A. (Denise Lopez) Carpenter, of Sinclairville; and a brother, Larry Snyder, of South Dayton. Also surviving are four grandchildren Travis (Renee), Quintina (Jacob), Ida and Lexxi and a great granddaughter Naomi. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband David A. Carpenter who died August 8, 2020 a grandson Leonard Ecker and beloved wiener dog “Patches”.

Graveside services will be at a later date.
