Lester J. ‘Junior’ Frost Jr.

Lester J. “Junior” Frost Jr., 82 of Dunkirk, formerly of Cassadaga, passed away Mar. 5, 2024 at St. Vincent Hospital, Erie, Pa.

Born Dec. 14, 1941 a son of the late Lester, Sr. and Lucille Peters Frost.

He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in South Korea during the Vietnam Conflict from 1964-1966.

Junior was employed as a heavy equipment operator/truck driver for 20 years with the Town of Arkwright and 14 years with the Town of Charlotte the last nine serving as Highway Superintendent retiring in 2001. “I’m not a politician, but I can care for the roads!”

He was a member of the Cassadaga Memorial American Legion Post 1280 and the Fellowship Church, Brocton. Junior enjoyed riding horses and his Harley Davidson, traveling, listening to and playing country music on his guitar, but his love was time spent in “his chair” and time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

Husband of 56 years to Florence Gugino Frost who he married July 15, 1967 and started dating July 20, 1963; father of Leslie (James) Wolcott of Holly Springs, NC, Jeffrey (Melissa) Frost of Dunkirk and Lori (Charles, Jr.) Grisanti of Cassadaga; loving grandfather of, Evan Grisanti, Raegan Wolcott and Riley Frost; brother of, David of Dunkirk and Richard (Donna) Frost of Brocton, Della (Lester) Ludemann and Delia (Danny) Wojcieszyn of Cassadaga and the late James Frost, Freeland and William Denmead. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation Thursday, 4-7 p.m. in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville with funeral services Friday at 11 a.m. Burial in Christian Meeting House Cemetery, Arkwright.
