Michele A. Gifford, 53, of Gowanda passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024. She was born on Sept. 5, 1970 in Gowanda, daughter of the late Beverly Nephew-Kennedy and William Huff Sr., who survives.
Michele was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation and the Heron Clan. She was active making new crafts and loved to be creative, especially enjoying her bead work. Michele was also a devoted child of God, who loved the Lord. She was a proud mother and grandmother.
Besides her father, Michele is survived by a son, Isaac (Hannah) Gifford of Noble, OK, and two daughters; Brittni Jones of Salamanca, and Elizabeth Gifford of Noble, OK. Also surviving are two brothers, Robert (Rosemary) Armstrong of Long Island, NY, and William Huff Jr. of the Cattaraugus Reservation, as well as two sisters; Deanna Armstrong of the Cattaraugus Reservation, and Stacy Huff of the Akwesasne Reservation in Canada. Also surviving are four grandchildren; Hadowas, Ogayego, Owaosa, and Deyotgwa, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Monday, April 1, 2024 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm from Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 105 East Main St. in Gowanda.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 10 am from the funeral home.
