Nicholas P. “Nickno” Snow

Born September 19, 1962 into the Heron Clan at the former Town of Hanover Hospital the son of Peter L. and Geraldine M.(Maybee) Snow.

Nicholas honorably served with the United States Marine Corps. Nick grew up in Kansas and graduated from the Kansas State University @ Wichita receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Family Counseling. He returned to the Cattaraugus Territory as a young adult. He was known to be the ” family historian” and had stories that would make you listen intently or shake your head in disbelief . He was a good story teller .

Survivors include his children ; Nicky (Josilyn) Snow of Gowanda, Geraldine “Geri” Snow of Perrysburg, Karen (Ritch) Snow of Katy, Tx. , Heron (Gabby) Snow of Gowanda, Mirhna Snow of Pa. , Leland Snow of Perrysburg and Kia Cooper of Irving . Grandchildren; Croix Snow, Corrah Thomas, Valentina Snow and Zalia Snow. His siblings; Laurie Ann Snow of Irving, Maria (Karen) Maybee of Irving, Arthur Snow of Buffalo, Patricia Snow of Irving, David (Kelly) Snow of Salamanca and Charmaine Blackwell of Kansas.

Nicholas is also survived by Susan Snow of Niagara Falls, NY with whom he shared his life with for many years along with Leigh (Huff) Snow of Perrysburg , the mother of six of his children .

Besides his parents Nick was preceded in death by a daughter Bethany Huff ( March 26, 2022) and a brother Robbie Hoffmire (April 4, 2013).

The family will receive friends from 1:00- 6:00pm on Tuesday March 12, 2024 at the SCHINDLER FUNERAL HOME 44 Center St. Gowanda where his funeral will be held Wednesday March 13, 2024 at 10:00am. Interment in the Seneca Nation Community Cemetery Rte. 438.

A funeral luncheon will follow Nick’s burial Wednesday. The luncheon will be at the Seneca Nation Vol. Fire Dept Rte. 438.
