Marc David Kapple

A dedicated family man and respected grape farmer, he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Marc’s warm smile and generous spirit enriched the lives of many, and his legacy will continue to live on in his children.

A proud graduate of Westfield Academy and Central School, Marc took on the mantle of grape farming at his family’s cherished Kapple Farms in Portland and Westfield New York. His commitment to the land and his community was evident in the meticulous care he bestowed upon the vineyards and the quality of each harvest. Marc found joy and contentment in working the land, a tradition and passion he hoped to pass down through the generations.

The epitome of a family man, Marc cherished moments spent with his beloved wife, Rebecca, and his adoring children, Olivia, Alan, and Nina. He also held dear the relationships with his parents, David and Bernice Kapple, his brother Kenneth (Tracy) Haynes, and sisters Lynn (Keith) Williams and Jill (Allen) Lloyd. The extended embrace of the Hamlet Family, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends, filled his life with laughter and support.

Marc’s hobbies reflected his love for the outdoors and family time. Whether cycling alongside his daughter and brother Ken or mastering the art of barbecue on his prized Green Egg smoker, he embraced life’s simple pleasures.

Marc’s memory will forever inspire those he so dearly loved. His life was a testament to the beauty of dedication to his family and farm.

Services will be held Monday April 15, 2024 at the family farm 7343 East Route 20 Westfield, NY at 2 PM.

Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
