Mary A. “Mitzie” (Klajbor) Bradigan

Mary A. “Mitzie” (Klajbor) Bradigan, 74, of Fredonia, NY, passed away Tuesday April 9, 2024 at home, with her loving family at her side, after a long battle of cancer.

Mitzie was born August 8, 1949 in Dunkirk, daughter of the late Joseph and Alberta (Tilly) Klajbor. She was a graduate of Cardinal Mindzenty High School (1967).

She was an accomplished and well known seamstress in the area. While busy with family and her work, Mitze found time to enjoy numerous hobbies, including: sewing, reading, bowling, boating and camping. Also martial arts and baking. She was an officer of the Dunkirk Women’s Bowling Association, a Liu Siong student and teacher, and a member of the Liu Siong Royal Kung-Fu Club. Above all, Mitzie enjoyed family gatherings and special family occasions.

Mitzie is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jerry Bradigan; her son, Chad (Laura Riddle) and her daughter, Amber (Jon Rosen) of Maine; sisters: Michelle Hofer, Terri Stokes, Kathy Klajbor; and her brother, Joseph Klajbor; also survived by several nieces, nephews, as well as great-nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Joseph and Alberta Klajbor, Mitzie is predeceased by an infant daughter, Amy Bradigan; Clyde and Alene Bradigan (husband’s parents) and niece, Melissa Stokes.

A Celebration of Life will be held and announced in the summer. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Fredonia Library in her memory.

The family would also like to send thanks to all of those who have graciously reached out, donated and helped throughout her time.
