Robert “Bob” G. Stewart

WESTFIELD- Robert “Bob” G. Stewart, 66, of Westfield, NY, and formerly of Sherman, NY, and Jersey City, NJ, passed away with family at his side at his home on April 4, 2024, following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born June 22, 1957, in Jersey City, NJ, the son of the late Jackson and Joan McDonnell Stewart.

Bob had worked as a truck driver for Erie Lumber. He was a member of Lighthouse Christian Fellowship Church in Westfield, NY, and enjoyed fishing on Lake Erie, hunting, woodworking, playing guitar, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Irene Paulkowitz Stewart, three daughters; Irene Meyer of Orchard Park, NY, Bobbi Merritt of Westfield, NY, and Joan Dimperio of Ridgeland, SC, ten grandchildren; Elizabeth, Alissa, Anastasia, Devon, Natalie, Cassie, Becky, Jesse, Tayte, and Bryan, many great-grandchildren, his nieces and nephews; Danny Stewart, Janette (Josh) Shettler, David (Kristin) Stewart, Melinda Stewart, Greg Lake, Veronica Greer and many cousins in New Jersey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Stewart, a sister, Jackie Ferraro, a brother-in-law, Mark Ferraro, and a son-in-law, Ryan Merritt.

At Bob’s request, there will be no public services observed. A private celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
