Tracy T. Gurney

Tracy was born on November 07, 1961 to Robert and Carolyn (Moore) Gurney. He is survived by a brother Jeffrey Gurney of Tampa, Florida, and a sister Monica (Larry) Nephew of Gowanda, and his nephews Robert (Alissa) Nephew of OKC. ,OK,and Christopher (Nell) Nephew of Winchester MA., and their children.

Tracy belonged to the North Collins Wesleyan Church, which he appreciated very much. Earlier in life he worked with youths at a Christian summer camp, and he led an after school Bible Club in the Gowanda Central High School. He took his nephews and other youths to the Kingdom Bound music Festivals.

He shared his love for baseball with his nephews. He bought them jerseys and took them to games. Tracy also enjoyed hunting and fishing, friends and family. He had a quick wit and a good sense of humor. He was generous and a good gift giver, because he listened to what was said so that he knew what to buy.

Tracy worked over 30 years for the NYS Department of Corrections, and he served the Village of Perrysburg for several terms as a Trustee until the Village dissolved.

Friends may call Saturday April 6 , 2024 from 10:00am – 12:00pm at the SCHINDLER FUNERAL HOME 44 Center St. Gowanda where Funeral Services will commence at 12 noon on Saturday following calling hours. Interment in the Holy Cross Cemetery Gowanda.
