Fredonia – Aliza Rae Rosier, 23, of Fredonia, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024.

She was born on April 4, 2001, in Buffalo, daughter of Jason and Rachel (LaValle) Rosier, who survive.

She was a graduate of Gowanda Central School, class of 2019, and Erie 2 BOCES – Loguidice – Fredonia. She worked as a special education teacher’s aide at BOCES Fredonia, and also as a cosmetologist at the Vintage Hairpin in Gowanda.

Aliza is survived by her mother, Rachel (Justin Reiller) Galati of Perrysburg, and her father, Jason (Melissa) Rosier of Gowanda, and two brothers; Nolan Rosier, and Carter Rosier, of Gowanda, as well as a sister, Onnah Galati of Perrysburg. Also surviving are four step-sisters; Keira and LilliAunna Reiller, Addison and Riley Gleason, as well as a step-brother, Carter Reiller. Also surviving are her maternal grandmother, Donna (late Johnny) LaValle of Gowanda, and her paternal grandparents, Don (Terri) Rosier of Smith Mills, and Becky Goodbrand of Hamburg, and her paternal great- grandmother, Wilma (late John) Goodbrand of Hamburg. Also surviving is Aliza’s significant other, Dan Ackendorf.

Aliza was strong, passionate and generous. She lived life with her loving heart wide open to others. Her beautiful smile lit up the room when she entered. Aliza had a special gift with children who easily connected with her through her work at the school and within her large extended family.

Family was everything to Aliza, who treasured time together whether it was a special vacation or a simple movie night. As a creative person, she had a great sense of style expressed through fashion. Aliza also had a passion for music, often sharing the microphone with her mother and sister. She enjoyed painting and creating art that reflected her joyful spirit. Throughout her journey Aliza held on to her faith in God. In a world full of roses, she was a sunflower.

Friends may call on Sunday, May 5, 2024 from 2-6 pm at Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 105 East Main St. in Gowanda.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 6, 2024 at 10 am at the Gowanda Assembly of God Church, with Rev. David Gabel officiating.

Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.
