Miles B. Goss
Miles B. Goss, 75, of Gowanda, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2024 at his home. He was born on Aug. 16, 1948 in Cuba, NY son of the late Alvin and Jean (Bates) Goss. Miles was drafted into the US Army having served during the Vietnam War. For 35 years, Miles worked in area group homes for the WNYDDSO until his retirement. On July 1, 1989, he married the former Cheryl Dunkleman, who survives.
Miles was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoying his time outdoors and was a member of the Pine Valley Rod and Gun Club. He was also a member of the Gowanda American Legion and Gowanda VFW.
Besides his loving wife of 34 years, Miles is survived by a son, Daniel (Angela) Goss of Cattaraugus, and three daughters; Melissa Pritchard of Randolph, Paula (Robert) Kinney of Olean, and Michelle (Oscar) Gilson of Jamestown. Also surviving are three sisters; Crystal (Barry) Lester of VA, Alvina Hitchcock of Delevan, and Coleen Blakeslee of Freedom. He is also survived by five grandchildren; Cooper Pritchard, Macy Pritchard, Ryan (Allison) Gleason, Matthew Gleason, and Adalynn Gilson, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Private family services will be held.
Memorials may be made to the Gowanda American Legion, Gowanda VFW, or Hospice Buffalo.
