Jeffrey Clark Kimbel

Jeffrey Clark Kimbel, 58, of Ripley, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday May 25, 2024.

Jeff was born February 12, 1966, in Erie, Pa. The son of Richard C Kimbel and Susan Baum Riedesel.

He attended WACS in Westfield, was involved with The Civil Air Patrol and obtained his Single Solo Pilots Certificate. Jeff worked for Misty Ridge Landscaping, was a self-employed painter. He was also employed as a maintenance painter for Custom Coatings of Falconer, doing work for such locations including UPMC of Jamestown, Cummings Diesel, and other manufacturers in Chautauqua Co. NY, and Warren Co. PA, and most recently at Loves Travel Stop in Ripley for the maintenance department.

Jeff had a huge heart, a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh all his own. He was a great son, a loving brother, an amazing uncle and a good friend. Jeff was a life-long member of the American Legion, The Loyal Order of the Moose and the VFW. He enjoyed fishing, hiking and his animals. He loved spending time with family and friends.

Jeff is survived by his parents Richard Kimbel Ripley NY, Susan Baum Riedesel (Robert) Dugspur, Va. Brothers: Jon Kimbel (Melissa) Westfield, NY, James Riedesel (Amy) Hogansville GA, Sisters: Carol Spoon (Dennis) Sinclairville NY, Paula Kimbel-Rath (Scott) Winchester VA, Lisa Lanphere (Jeff) Mexico. Nephews: Robert Spoon, Justin Spoon (Jaci), Nick Kimbel (Mariah), Jacob Kimbel (Carolyn), Andrew, Rath, Dylan Hawkins. Nieces: Kassie Goff (Brent), Jenna Hamman (Timmy), Kaitlin Spoon, Jessica Brookshire(Scott), Kaitlyn and Hanna Kimbel, Julia Lanphere. Great Nephews Hunter, Nick, Braydon Goff, Mason Spoon, Leo Spoon and Owen Hamman, Joshua Harris, Patrick Warsitz(Shawnda). Great Nieces Riley & Haylie Spoon, Raylen and Briella Hawkins. Several Uncles, Aunts and cousins.

Preceded in death by Grandparents Velma and Earl Covert-Daily, Charles and Wilda Baum, Nephew Richard Spoon (Ricky), Sister Amy Kimbel, Stepbrother Stephen Riedesel, Uncle Robert Baum, Aunt Winnie Cochran and cousin Benjamin Baum, Maxine Deland, Richard’s longtime companion, and his canine companions Maggie and Bo.

There is no service schedule, a Celebration of life will be Saturday, June 29 at the Westfield Moose Club from 1 to 4 p.m.
