Lydia Bermudez-Gerena
Lydia Bermudez-Gerena died at her home in Fredonia, NY on July 10, 2024. She was born on Sept. 26, 1944 in Caguas, Puerto Rico. Before becoming a homemaker for most of her life, Lydia served in the US Army, from 1972-1974.
She and her husband, Jose Maissonet-Rodriquez, had been married for 51 years.
Besides her husband, Jose, Lydia is survived by her daughters, Marisol Maissonet of FL, and Adeline Maissonet of VA and her son, Jose Maissonet, of Fredonia, NY. She is further survived by nine grandchildren, three brothers, 10 sisters, and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, July 14, 2024, from 4-6 pm, at the FANTAUZZI FUNERAL HOME, 82 E. Main St., Fredonia, NY.
Lydia’s Funeral Service and interment will be held in Fajardo, Puerto Rico.
