Mary L. Neal
Mary L. Neal, 93, of Lakeland, FL, and formerly of Otto, passed away Friday, June 28, 2024 at Lakeland Regional Hospital in Lakeland, FL. She was born on Jan. 16, 1931 in New Albion, daughter of the late Louie and Katherine (Sinn) Reed. She married Douglas Neal, who predeceased her in 2002.
For many years, she worked as an RN at Tri-County Hospital in Gowanda, and upon moving to Florida, continued at Lake Whales Hospital. She also was a nurse for Good Shepherd Hospice and following her retirement, she volunteered at Bok Tower in Lake Whales.
Mrs. Neal is survived by a son, Ronald (Jan) Neal of Otto, and a daughter, Tamara (Earl) Palmer of Lakeland, FL. Also surviving are five grandchildren; Melissa Pugh, Monica Schrock, Brian Palmer, Angela Starnes, and Cole Palmer, as well as nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her loving husband, Mary is predeceased by a son, Thomas Neal, three brothers; Fred Reed, Harold Reed, and Edward Reed, as well as four sisters; Elsie Wehling, Dora Reed, Edna Reed, and Freida Fitzpatrick.
Friends may call on Saturday, July 6, 2024 from 11 am to Noon from Immanuel Lutheran Church in Otto.
Funeral services will immediately follow at Noon from Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Burial will be in East Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
