HAMBURG — Velma F. Rennicks age 90 formerly of Gowanda passed away Thursday morning July 11, 2024 with her niece Sue (Graves) Braunscheidel at her side at the Autumn View Healthcare Facility in Hamburg.
Velma was born one of 10 children born to Highland “James” and Nellie (Green) Gwynne in Buffalo on September 5, 1933.
Velma married James Rennicks September 5, 1955, James passed away February 27, 1998.
A Quality Control Specialist, Velma worked at the Gowanda Electronics for nearly 30 years before her retirement in 1994.
Velma was a past member of the Gowanda Volunteer Fire Dept. Auxillary and a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star .
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and her husband of 43 years Velma was preceded in death by her siblings; Edwin, Highland James , Frederick Gwynne , Alberta Stevenson, Eleanor (Paul) Graves, Euretta Bauder, Agnes Hayden , Marshia Allshouse and Emma Gwynne.
Friends may call Monday July 15,2024 from 4:00-6:00 pm @ the SCHINDLER FUNERAL HOME 44 Center St. Gowanda . A private family burial to take place at a later date.
