Annette M. Gorenflo

Annette was born in Gowanda, February 15, 1960 , the daughter of James and Lois (Bowers) Kota.

Annette graduated from Gowanda Central , Class of ’79. A hairdresser and cosmetologist Annette always made sure her hair and makeup was properly done . She at one time owned and operated Annette’s Beauty Shop of Gowanda in the early 90’s . Annette also worked at the former Gowanda Psychiatric Center as an Aid and was a Pharmacy Tech for Rite-Aid in Gowanda for several years.

Annette married Joseph E. Gorenflo at the Gowanda Free Methodist Church September 1, 1984. Together they had a son Joseph E. Gorenflo Jr.

Besides her husband of 40 years and their son Joey, Annette is survived by her parents. Richard and Lois (Bowers) Westburg of Gowanda, her husband’s two daughters (she thought of as her own), Lisa Covert of Fredonia, Michelle (Todd) Winship of Gowanda along with grandchildren; Taryn Lau, Megan (Shadow Snyder) Torres, Brittany (Dave) Bodekor, Paige Torres, Riley Torres, Mia Torres and Joseph E. Gorenflo III. Five great grandchildren; Mason, Ashtyn, Owen, Zaydee and Rome. Annette is also survived by her sisters Jackie Kota of Gowanda, Kimberly (late Doug) Wright of Gowanda and Becky Kota of Germany . Annette is also survived by a brother James ” Jimmy” Kota of Colorado along with several nieces and nephews.

Annette will be remembered for her many friendships , acts of love and devotion , her laugh, her humor and her no nonsense attitude.

Friends may call at the Gowanda Free Methodist Church 149 West Main St. Gowanda from 10:00- 12:00 noon on Friday August 23,2024 where a Celebration of Life Service will commence at 12 noon . Rev. Simon Knighten, Lead Pastor of the church will officiate .

SCHINDLER FUNERAL HOME 44 Center St. Gowanda is in charge of arrangements .
