Leroy G.” Bud” Franklin III

Leroy was born in Gowanda, NY on January 18, 1976, a son to Leroy Franklin, Jr. and Mary Lou (Fredrickson) Parks.

He had attended Brocton Central School and had been employed by Dunkirk Specialty Steel up until his death.

He was a member of the Brocton Fire Department and Westfield Fish and Game Club.

Leroy had been a baseball and football coach and loved to hunt and fish. He was considered a jack of all trades” and could do just about anything. When time permitted, he loved playing corn hole. Leroy could light up a room with his humor and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. But most of all, his children were his number one priority and was his driving force.

Left behind to cherish his memories are his beloved wife, Amanda (Carlson) Franklin, children, Damion, Marcus, and Cera Franklin, loving parents, Mary Lou (Dale) Parks (stepfather) and his father, Leroy Franklin, Jr., brother of Amanda (Matt Skubis) Parks, Ryan (Christi) Parks, Kristin Parks, and Cory Franklin. Son in law of Cheryl (late Allen) Carlson. Leroy is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be at the Morse Funeral Home, 51 Highland Avenue, Brocton, NY 14716 on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from 3 – 6 pm followed by a committal service with Rev. Josh Ehmke of the Portland Congregational Church officiating.
