Mark R. Fantauzzi

The son of a physician, Mark embarked on a journey to a meaningful medical career. Mark enlisted in the U.S. Navy upon graduating from LaSalle Academy in Troy. After completing service to his country, he began his pursuit of higher education. He was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree from Hartwick College, attended Optometry College, and went on to earn his Doctor of Osteopathic degree. Finally, Mark received an advanced degree in Anesthesiology and practiced in this field until his retirement.

Besides Michael R. (his Caregiver), Mark is survived by two daughters, Andrea and Nicole Fantauzzi, brothers, Patrick A. Fantauzzi, MD, Anthony J. Fantauzzi, and James M. Fantauzzi, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his brother, John B. Fantauzzi.

Donations in Mark’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s research hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, and/or Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 8th Avenue, 16th Floor, New York, NY 10001.

Mark’s Funeral Service will be held privately for close friends and family.

Interment will be in the Fantauzzi Family Plot in Albany, NY.
