John H Briggs Jr. and Daniel A (Bucky) Briggs
John H Briggs Jr. (68) and Daniel A (Bucky) Briggs (64) of Rock Hill, SC, formerly Portland, NY passed away unexpectedly, on September 2, 2024, and September 14, 2024, with family by their side.
John was born November 7 1955 and Dan was born October 17, 1959 to the late Vera [Fralick] and John H Briggs Sr.
John was a graduate of Brocton Central in 1973. He served in the Army after graduation. He worked driving wrecker and over the road truck driving.
Dan attended Brocton Central and also drove wrecker and drove truck, over the road.
In addition to their parents, they were predeceased by a brother, Dale Briggs, in 1972.
John is survived by one son, David Briggs of Texas. Both brothers are survived by sisters Barbara (Russell) Briggs-Webb, Susan (late Billy) Heard, Pamela (late Gordon) Cox, Terri Robinson, and Amy (Jason) Ziegler, along with many nieces and nephews.
A military funeral will be held for John on November 1, 2024, at 11 a.m., followed by a Celebration of life for both brothers. A graveside service will be held for Dan.
Memorials can be made to the Lakeshore Humane Society, Dunkirk, NY or Boy Scout Troop 126 in Mayville.
